Classroom Library & Lesson Plans

Hi friends! Okay, so I know I should be enjoying summer vacation, but I am so excited to get into my classroom to start organizing! Waiting another month will be agonizing for me, so I figured I'd get a head start working on whatever I can from home. Today I started working on my classroom library organization. I printed out my book basket labels and I also made matching stickers for the books, which will make it so much easier for the kids to keep everything organized! I'm thrilled with how these turned out!

If you like these, you can pick them up in my TpT store!

We also had our first PD day a couple weeks ago and it was so exciting to meet the other teachers I'll be working with! Since we're a small new school, there will only be four of us next year. We had a great time ordering furniture and materials, looking at curriculum, and planning out our daily schedule! Since I got my daily schedule, I was able to begin updating my lesson plan format. This is just a quick sample I made up and it will be more detailed once I get all the curriculum materials. I will post a complete version at some point when I've got the whole year planned out! If you're interested, you can download the template HERE

We have our next meeting in about a week, so I'm looking forward to doing some more planning and learning more details about my new school! I'll keep you all updated :)

  1. This looks great. Thanks for posting. Is that what your first week could look like with your kindergarten kids? Do you jump right into "what a good reader looks like" in that first week? I am a new teacher, so beginning of the year is a struggle! :)

    1. Thanks Rebekah! This is just a quick mockup I made and doesn't necessarily represent my first week. I wouldn't usually jump right in...I usually start by building classroom community, teaching procedures/routines, name games and crafts, stories/songs about going to school, etc that first week. I'm at a new school this year and my team and I haven't met yet to plan out our pacing, so I'm not exactly sure how we're going to do it yet! I'll definitely post my first week plans when I finish them! Good luck in your first year :)

  5. Child needs fun with the study to enjoy the childhood. So it's important to enroll your child in best school. I have enrolled my kid at Phoenix pre-k and they are giving their best too.

  12. I am a first-year Kindergarten teacher post-career change, too. I teach at a preschool where there is only one kindergarten class, so I have no experienced team of teachers to plan with. When I took the job, the curriculum had not been truly updated in 15 years. I have taken on the job of modernizing it and helping to align it with common core standards. If you would be willing to post your most recent lesson plans for the year, it would be amazingly helpful to me. I have been really impressed with your materials, and have used the common core assessment pack, classroom organization tools, and several literacy center ideas, but I am really struggling with pacing and planning. I need help figuring out what to focus each week/month in order to build skills in an effective way. Thank you!

  16. On the off chance that you choose to convey your vehicle title to an advance organization, one of the normal prerequisites that they would apply is to ensure that truly no sum is owed against the vehicle to anybody. Full scope protection additionally falls as one of the real necessities for such, and this goes in light of the fact that however the title is with the advance organization, the proprietor may at present utilize the auto that is completely guaranteed on the off chance that mishaps happen.
